Titanium is a highly biocompatible metal ,by that it actually means that after incorporation, the body does not recognize it as a foreign body, but accepts it as an integrated part of it. This process in implantology is known as Osseointegration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Osseointegration<\/strong>&nbsp;is an unmistakable process in healthy individuals. However, there are medical conditions (local or general) in certain patients, which disrupt or disable this process. Therefore, before proceeding to the surgical phase of implant placement, a detailed medical history is taken from the patient, where it is determined whether it is suitable for the implant itself.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from the placement of the implant, the implantology also deals with the&nbsp;<strong>soft tissue&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>management<\/strong>that it consists of complete care of the surrounding soft tissue around the implant itself, the regeneration of an appropriate keratinized biotype gingiva, similar to the complex periodontal complex around natural teeth. At this stage the patient should not have any sensations. Non -augmentation techniques take 2 weeks to heal, while soft tissue surgeries take 6 to 8 weeks before moving on to the next prosthetic phase.<\/li><li><strong>Prosthetic stage\u00a0 <\/strong>ollows after we have performed all the previous stages of the surgical protocol, where we have an integrated implant, with appropriate three-dimensional positioning, a sufficient amount of bone around the implant, and the appropriate thickness of the soft tissue ( keratinized gingiva ). From this moment follows a rather creative phase, which requires patience, dexterity, skill and knowledge. The moment of prosthetic rehabilitation, valorizes the entire previously made surgical plan, as well as provides a result with high aesthetic and functional parameters, which give long-term stability to all structures around the implant, the implant itself, and also provides high aesthetic and functional rehabilitation. . the implant, compared to cementing , where there is always a great danger when cementing , that part of the cement penetrates into the deep anatomical structures around the implant and cause serious
